Nairobi Excursions
Nairobi was built in 1899, and grew as a central point for the Kenya-Uganda railway. Nairobi comes from the Maasai word, "Enkare Nyrobi" meaning the "place of cool water". During your tour of Nairobi, you will visit a variety of places
Nairobi Tour - Daily at 10.00/14.00 hrs (2 hours)
The tour covers the main areas of interest in the city - the colourful market and shopping bazaars, the historic areas like the Parliament buildings and Mausoleum. Some time is spent at the renowned National Museum, where there are spellbinding displays of early man, tribal regalia and flora and fauna of Kenya. The tour also includes a visit to the adjacent Snake Park.

Bomas of Kenya - Daily at 14.30hrs (3 hours)
Just a few kilometres from the city, bomas or traditional homesteads reflecting Kenya's cocktail of cultures have been faithfully recreated for visitors to see village life. An entertaining afternoon display of traditional dances and folk songs from the better known tribes of Kenya completes the visit.

Karen Blixen, Giraffe Centre, Kazuri & Utamaduni - Daily at 14.00 hrs (4 hours)
Truly a must for all 'Out of Africa' fans. Includes a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum, former home of the authoress of the book Out of Africa, where we immerse ourselves in the past life of the settlers at the beginning of the century, and can take a walk in the beautiful gardens with a spectacular view of the Ngong Hills. We then visit the Giraffe Centre, a sanctuary for the rare and beautiful Rothschild Giraffe. We can take photographs and even feed the giraffes and the resident warthogs. We end the tour by visiting the bead and pottery factory at Kazuri and shopping for souvenirs at Utamaduni.

Nairobi National Park - Daily at 09.00/14.00 hrs (4 hours)
A short way out of Nairobi lies the National Park which has a variety of plains game like lions, cheetah, buffalo, rhino and abundant bird life. Optional visit to the adjacent Safari Walk or the animal orphanage.

The Carnivore Experience - Daily at 12.00hrs & 19.00hrs (3 hours)
Simply an orgy for meat lovers - try the barbequed antelope, giraffe, crocodile amongst other varieties of meat which will be brought to your table on spears.
In the style of a Brazilian churrasceria, 6 kms from the city centre, The Carnivore Restaurant is a popular spot for meat lovers.

Aberdare National Park (Treetops) - 1 night (Minimum 2 pax)
Day 1
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through central Kenya to Out Span Hotel arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon transfer to the Treetops for overnight floodlit game viewing. Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, this unique game lodge overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts a host of wildlife - elephant, rhino, leopard, bushbuck and occasionally an elusive bongo or giant forest hog. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Transfer to Outspan Hotel after breakfast, thereafter departing for Nairobi arriving approx. 1200hrs

Day Trip to Lake Nakuru Lodge
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley stopping to marvel at the views of the escarpment along the way. Arrive Lake Nakuru National Park for mid-morning game drive. Proceed for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Another short game drive as you get out of the park and drive back to Nairobi arriving early evening.

Mombasa Excursions
The colorful island town of Mombasa with its blend of ancient and modern buildings on the Indian Ocean is Kenya principal port and the country's second's largest city. A comprehensive tour of the islands includes the Arab Old Town, with its maze of narrow twisting alleys displaying the beautiful carved doors and Arab verandas, bazaars with curio and antique shops, the Dhow Harbor (still in use), a Hindu temple, a visit to the Akamba wood carvers and a drive to the bazaar fir a short shopping expedition. The highlight of the tour is probably the visit to Fort Jesus. Built in 1593 by the Portuguese to guard the entrance to the Old Dhow Harbor, it is the Island's Landmark. Four hundred years old, the fort still stands and serves as a historical museum.
Mombasa City Tour - Dep: 09.00 hrs North Coast, 08.00 hrs South Coast (3 hours)
The second most important city of the country, Mombasa is the largest and most popular island on the Kenya coast. This old but vibrant gateway to Kenya is a mystical mixture of ancient and modern, with a cosmopolitan population blending Africa, Arabia and Asia. But not everyone realizes that this picturesque port is an island with two deep water harbors. Evocative of the east, graceful sailing dhows unchanged throughout the centuries, arrive on the monsoon winds, while ocean liners berth just around the headland. Fringing the dhow harbor is the Old Town, dominated by the ancient Portuguese Fort Jesus, a maze of narrows streets overshadowed by high ornamental balconies of quaint shuttered houses and vibrant open bazaars.

Bamburi Nature Trail & Mamba Village - Dep: 14.30 hrs North Coast, 13.30 hrs South Coast (3 hours)
A reclaimed quarry, this is a stunning nature park. Walk amongst the trees and colorful birds as you watch hippos, waterbuck, buffalo and antelope. Visit the Crocodile Village and learn of the cycles in their life.

Tamarind Dinner (From Mombasa) - Dep: 1700 hrs. From North Coast, 1600 hrs -From South Coast. (Duration 03 hrs)
An evening aboard the "nawalikher" offers something special by way of entertainment and memories. Whilst guests sip on cocktails and nibble on Swahili fried coconut chips, the dhow gently sails past the old town of Mombasa to watch the sunset. After a succulent 5 course dinner the charcoal grills are moved away and the floor is cleared for dancing to a live band. At 10.30pm, return to the jetty for transfer to your hotel
